The Town of Colebrook is accepting resumes for the position of Deputy Town Clerk. The successful candidate
will be responsible for assisting the Town Clerk in the collection and documentation of all municipal
transactions, including, but not limited to, the registration of motor vehicles, dog licenses, vital records
including issuing marriage licenses and assisting with elections in accordance with state and local laws.
The successful candidate must be a resident and registered voter of the Town of Colebrook. They shall
possess excellent organizational skills, knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures, and
knowledge of computers and modern office procedures and equipment. The ability to establish and maintain
effective working relationships with the public is essential. Excellent customer service skills, strong math skills,
attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are required.
Minimum qualifications: a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of accounting principles and number
aptitude, and a thorough knowledge of office procedures and computer skills, including Windows and
Microsoft Office, and have the ability to obtain Municipal Agent and Boat Agent certifications within 6 months.
Prior experience working with the public, plus general clerical, cash handling, and reconciliation duties are a
must. Knowledge of NH statutes and laws is a plus.
The position is Part–Time, 16 hours a week, and a starting salary of $15.00/hour. To apply for this position,
